How to Run Interest Enrichment in Air Traffic Control

Sometimes there are contacts in our HubSpot account that we don't know much about and that can make it tough to make good content recommendations.

The good news is that ATC offers a social enrichment feature. What this feature does is use the contact's first name, last name, and company name to find their public LinkedIn profile and last 90 days of posts to LinkedIn. That information is then used to enrich their interest graph (that big list of topics on each contact) which enables much better recommendations.

Here's a Step-By-Step of How to Do That

  1. Head to the Contacts feature in your ATC account
  2. Understanding Contact Insights

    • Note that contacts have varying numbers of insights. As a reminder, insights come from tracked engagement in HubSpot, company insights, and social enrichment.

    • If a contact has just one insight it's almost always just the name of their company.

  3. Utilizing Enrichment Solution

    • You certainly can enrich all of your contacts at once, but it's more common that you'll want to use the filter tool at the top to select a list filter and an insights filter.

    • If a list exists in HubSpot, it exists (24 hours after being created) in your ATC account
    • The Social Enrichment button in the top right of the Contacts feature will appear upon selecting at least one contact and you can also click the box at the top of the Contact list to select all of the results.

    • After clicking Socially Enrich a window will pop up letting you know the maximum number of credits the enrichment will require and how many credits you still have.

    • If a contact is not found, it will not cost any credits - the credits are 100% success-based.

    • You can always go over your credits limit for $0.25/successfully found LinkedIn record.

  4. Timeline for updates

    • The enrichment process takes 24 hours.

    • At that point, Content recommendations and Topic insights will be updated!
